Stump Grinding
Stump grinding can be included as part of a tree removal job or can be requested separately to remove existing stumps on your property. We utilize a powerful track mounted stump grinder that can handle any size stump. The track system does not require a truck to tow the unit into position thereby minimizing any damage to lawn and nearby shrubs.
We generally grind stumps to approximately 6 inches below ground level. The resulting wood chips are levelled across the area to create a smooth grade consistent with the surrounding area. For special applications we can grind to as much as 15 inches below the existing grade. We do not overbook. If you have an urgent requirement many times we can do the work same day.
All SiteClear stump grinding quotations include removal of the stump, surrounding surface roots as agreed and restoration of the surface. In many cases you’ll be essentially ready for seeding.

No stump is too small or too large for our uniquely equipped 74HP, track mounted Carlton 7015TRX diesel machine. It can enter a 36” gate. A special backfill blade makes fast work of finish grading. If chainsaw work is required, we have it on the machine, ready to work, saving you grinding time... and money.

In some cases, stump grinding also requires removal of surrounding roots and reduction of built-up soil around the stump. In this example we ground every square inch of the entire front yard. All debris and excess soil were removed, the surface graded and prepared for replanting. Make sure the company you choose has the capability to deliver the end result you desire.
Safety is our first priority. In areas where underground utilities are a concern, we will call to have the lines located and marked prior to grinding.
